Dear Parents:

The School Site Council committee is responsible for implementing the school plan to include all grade levels and all students. The committee also proposes expenditures of funds available from funding sources included in the school based coordinated program, evaluates educational programs of the school on an ongoing basis, and supports instructional and staff development programs. This committee will meet five (5) times this year at 3:00 p.m. in the afternoon on the Challenger Middle School campus. (If COVID restrictions allow, we will meet on the CMS campus. If not, we will meet virtually.)

If you would like to be considered for this committee, please complete the bottom portion of this form. We need (3) parents on this committee. If more than (3) apply, they will have their name placed on a “ballot”. Membership is contingent upon a community vote when more apply than what is needed. After ballots are returned and tabulated, we will announce the new members of our SCC Committee for the 2021-22 school year. If less than (3) apply, those will be automatically placed on the committee and you will be notified.

No, I cannot attend an SSC meeting on a regular basis, but would like to be an alternate on this committee. As an alternate, I am eligible to be elected at a later time – and I can attend any and all meetings as they arise. Though I do not have a vote as an elected member, I can still attend the meetings and offer ideas and my input regarding the school programs the SSC oversees./No, no puedo asistir a una reunión del SSC de forma regular, pero me gustaría ser un suplente en este comité.
