Join us for a Desi Rainbow Proud Possibilities that celebrates music, dance, LGBTQ+ identity and family!

On Tuesday, April 18th, at 8pm EST, we feature a new episode of Proud Possibilities with the release of UGLIES, a music video exploring the intersectionality between sexuality and Desi identity, followed by a Q&A with the artist, Vybhav (he/him) and his mother Sridevi (she/her), who is also featured in the video. The music featured is a combination of pop, hip-hop and rap mixed with a South Indian kuthu style chorus. Vybhav has been influenced by Sridevi’s eclectic style of Indian music and dance, as he was raised in a household full of music and dance, where Bharatanatyam dance classes took place on the first floor while Carnatic classical music was taught upstairs by Vybhav’s grandmother and Sridevi’s mother, Ranganayaki Rajan.
