Division
Overall: how enjoyable was the overall contest experience (prepping, solving, traveling, meeting others)?
I'd advise people to skip it
Fun — definitely would do it again!

Two Divisions:
Having Div1 and Div2 problem sets is new for our region this year, to make the contest more welcoming for all.  Any feedback on this approach?
Do you like having *some* problems show up on both problem sets?

Note that there will definitely be further learning (among teams, coaches, and problem-authors) about gauging which division a team should enter as.
Is there anything you wish you would have known in the days before the contest?
Clear rules? —
After the morning rules and practice session, were there still rules or procedures you were unclear on?
some important ideas still unclear
nope; everything was as expected

Hardware/environment: did you feel the local programming environment was sufficient?
too slow, or missing tools
Fine — I didn't think twice about it

Balloons: How important are the balloons to you, as part of the experience?
useless — get rid of 'em
kinda fun; definitely keep 'em

Closing ceremony:
Would you prefer more of a closing ceremony, or keep it as short as possible,
to let people get underway back home?
More recognition of local teams?  Of teams across the six-state region?  A zoom'd session revealing the last hour's submissions more dramatically (e.g. the resolver)?

Note: for future contests we plan having physical medals for the top 3 teams at each site, each division.
Div1 vs Div2 scoreboard:
The same schools (often large elite ones) tend to dominate the top of both Div1 and Div2 scoreboards.  One suggestion is "if a school has teams in Div1, then their Div2 teams don't show up on the scoreboard" — giving smaller schools a chance at topping the Div2 scoreboard or being site champions.

Do you think that's a good idea?
awful idea
great idea
