THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT: Please complete this form to nominate or recommend a SACAC colleague for a position on the Board of Directors for the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling. You may nominate as many members as you wish, but you must complete a separate SACAC Board Nomination Form for each.

SEVEN (7) POSITIONS ARE OPEN FOR THE 2021 ENTRY YEAR. BELOW ARE THE POSITION DESCRIPTIONS FOR YOUR REFERENCE:

President-Elect Job Description (1 position available):

The President-Elect develops, supervises, and is responsible for the program sessions at the annual conference meeting. This position also serves as a delegate to the National Assembly of NACAC and performs other duties that may be prescribed by the President. The President-Elect must also preside at meetings of the members of the Association, the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors in the absence of the President. The President-Elect will succeed to the office of President in the event of a vacancy in that office.

In its entirety, this is a four-year term commitment as follows:
· One board service year as President-Elect
· One board service year as President
· One board service year as Immediate Past-President and Vice-Chair of the Governance and Nominating
  Committee
· One non-board service year as Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee

Board Member Job Description (6 positions available):  

The SACAC Board of Directors is responsible for the day-to-day running of the association and plays a vital role in shaping the future of the organization. It is a working Board and each board member serves as a co-chair of a committee. Many board members also serve as delegates to the NACAC Assembly. Board positions serve three-year terms. Annual board meetings are held in the summer, at the NACAC conference, and at the SACAC conference. Regular conference calls and check-ins via email also are required.
