Gradescope is a web application owned by Turnitin, providing academic staff with a suite of tools for grading written and typed exams, fixed-template assessments, homework assignments, and auto-grading submitted programming code (e.g. Java, Python, etc).
The tool is based on the AI-assisted grading algorithms which are designed with a strong focus on the STEM disciplines such as, computer science, physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, engineering and eCommerce.
Gradescope supports the creation of assignments and activities, combining online and paper-based approaches, enabling students to submit their responses in various formats (e.g. hand-written or hand-drawn responses). As well as providing efficiencies and equitability in grading and the feedback processes.
