The Mental Health Safe Project: Get Involved
The Mental Health Safe Project addresses inappropriate published guidance about mental illness and collects resources to help people living with mental health conditions address everyday discrimination.
MH Safe has successfully worked to get law schools, professional associations, and industry websites to make changes to instructional material teaching professionals to treat people with mental illness as if they are more violent, to invade their privacy, and to otherwise provide them disparate treatment.
We are looking for interns and volunteers who want to help us identify more inappropriate publications, collaborate with publishers to address the problems, and otherwise collect tools to help people overcome stereotypes, stigma, and discrimination.
Please tell us about your interest in the space below and we will be in touch soon.
