Shining Light Scholarship Application - Class of '24

New West's Shining Light Scholarship was established in March 2023 when an anonymous donor contacted Dr. Sharon Weir to ask how they could help our students pursue higher education. Their priority was to help students in need with the cost of application fees, tuition, books, technology, and living expenses.  

Since then, additional generous donors have contributed to the cause of helping NWC alumni continue their education after graduation.  

Ideal candidates for this scholarship have a well-documented history of community service and strong academics (minimum 3.0 GPA and plans to attend a two or four-year non-profit or public college/university in the coming fall). 

This is a needs-based, non-renewable scholarship.  The amount of the award and the number of recipients varies each year.
