2023 New Zealand Water Polo National Awards - Fair Play Award
Please complete the Fair Play Award nomination on the below form.

Nominations: 
  • Nominations are invited from anyone including individuals, Clubs and Centres. It is suggested Clubs nominate those who have won their Club awards.   
  • The nomination must be completed on the below form with any supporting documentation attached.
  • The nominee must be a member of a water polo club which is affiliated with Water Polo New Zealand.  
  • If the nomination does not meet the award criteria it will not be accepted. 
  • Nominations must relate to the 2023 Season.   

Award Criteria:
  • This award is for anyone involved in water polo who has demonstrated fair play values.
“Fair competition, respect, friendship, team spirit, equality, sport without doping, respect for written and unwritten rules such as integrity, solidarity, tolerance, care, excellence and joy, are the building blocks of fair play that can be experienced and learnt both on and off the field” http://www.fairplayinternational.org
  • Have you noticed a team, player, coach, club, referee, spectator or anyone involved in water polo, do something exceptional? Or who consistently behaved in a way that demonstrated fair play values? Let us know the story. 

Nominations must be received by New Zealand Water Polo by Monday, 19th February 2024

There are 3 Finalists per category.
Finalists will be announced by Friday 23rd February 2024.
Finalists will be notified and their names published by NZWP
Finalists will be invited to the Awards Ceremony to be held after the AGM 
Awards will be presented during the Awards Ceremony (immediately after the AGM) on Saturday, 6 April 2024.
