Red Shirt Day - Mailing List
SAVE THE DATE: June 2, 2021, Wednesday

Red Shirt Day (for Accessibility and Inclusion) takes place on the Wednesday of National AccessAbility Week each year. It is an initiative of Easter Seals Canada and was first observed in 2019 to rally Canadians together in celebration of National AccessAbility Week. On Red Shirt Day each year, Canadians across the country wear red to:

Show their support for persons and families who are living with disability, and for accessibility and inclusion

Celebrate the achievements and contributions of Canadians living with disabilities, and advances in accessibility and inclusion in Canada

Pledge to educate and inform themselves on issues related to disability, and do what they can to remove physical and attitudinal barriers in their schools, workplaces and communities in order to make them truly accessible and inclusive places/environments for people of all abilities.

If your school, workplace, group or community is planning on observing Red Shirt Day in 2021, let us know and join the movement of Canadians across the country that are making this commitment. Easter Seals will send you periodic updates related to Red Shirt Day, such as posters, suggested activities and other resources.
