Please be aware that current pricing is higher than typical due to increased demand and our low Canadian dollar. Packages are also selling out quickly, so it's advisable to book early to ensure availability and secure the best selection.

Beach bummer - Does the sight of Sargassum seaweed make you want to wave goodbye to your beach day? While resorts do their best to keep things tidy, Mother Nature can be mischievous, and some beaches have more seaweed struggles than others. Please let me know your preference. *

Have I missed anything? I'm all ears to hear what you're craving in your ultimate destination wedding vacay. Perhaps I missed something that is the key ingredient for your amazing event and essentially, your honeymoon. Don't hold back, the more informtion you provide, the better it is for me to offer the best recommendations! Give me the feek on your dreamy destination, the type of resort or hotel you're dreaming to stay at, and the vibe you're after for your wedding vision... I'm here to provide you with the service and attention you deserve. *

Please note, after our initial virtual consultation, if you both feel we are a good fit and wish to move forward and hire me as your Travel Advisor for your destination wedding or vow renewal plans, this is when I will implement my upfront Professional Planning Fee to ensure a commitment from you and to help cover my planning and administration time as well as to give priority and focus to you, my valued clients. 

My upfront and non-refundable fee of up to $500+HST (depending on size of your group and complexity of the trip criteria) will be charged to your credit or debit card and a receipt of your payment will be provided prior to work started. This payment may be split into 2 payments with 1/2 upfront and 1/2 at time of confirming space by means of deposit with the tour operator and wedding package. 

Your invited guests will not be charged any planning fee. My planning fee is in addition to any payments to the tour operator to hold space for your wedding group and to the hotel for your wedding ceremony package. 

I will send you an electronic authorization form prior to the fees being charged for your review and electronic authorization signature. Once my fee has been paid, I will begin to research and select the best resorts and wedding ceremony package options to present to you based on your answers and criteria from the wedding form you have completed and our conversation during our meeting  (usually 3-4 resorts to start, more if needed). I will also provide tour operator package pricing for you and your guests and outline any incentives offered to the bride and groom.

Full Disclosure of Additional Fees for you and your guests to be aware of and will ONLY be charged should you or your individual guests require these additional services not already covered in our agreement. Each individual reservation who requires any of these additional services will be charged the following. The bride and groom are not responsible to pay these fees for their guests. 

CHANGE FEES - Modifying your travel plans once the booking has been confirmed or making errors can result in significant expenses. A fee of $50 +HST per adult and $15 +HST per child aged 17 and under shall apply for any modifications such as but not limited to: name changes or corrections, date changes, room category changes, occupancy changes, destination changes, resort changes, flight change request, etc. requested subsequent to the confirmation of your/their reservation with a booking number. To avoid incurring these unnecessary fees, it is imperative to provide accurate information, including a copy of your passport(s), and sticking to your original travel plans once booked.

CANCELLATION FEES - Please be advised that cancellation fees will be charged before your/their trip is canceled. To safeguard your/their travel investment, it is wise to purchase cancellation insurance; please ask for a quote. If you or your guests have insurance coverage through extended work benefits or credit card provider, you/they may be eligible to claim these fees as part of your/their trip cancellation benefit. After all, stress-free vacations are always the best. 

In the event that you or your guests need to cancel your/their reservation, the cancellation fee, along with any additional non-refundable fees and penalties as per the tour operator/airline's terms and conditions, will be charged to your/their credit card on file. The cancellation fee will be based on the total cost of your/their trip as outlined on the Professional Travel Advice and Services page of my website and specified in this agreement. The minimum cancellation fee amount would be $125* +HST per adult aged 18 and over and $25 +HST per child aged 17 and under. 

EMERGENCY SERVICES FEES DUE TO CLIENT NEGELIGENCE: To ensure a seamless travel experience, please make sure to take note of the following: 

In the event that you or your guests travel plans are disrupted due to client negligence, such as but not limited to: not having the necessary travel documents, arriving late for check-in, or missing a flight, an emergency service fee of $350 CAD + tax will apply only to the person's trip affected. Meeting all entry requirements, including necessary vaccinations, testing and documentation is the sole responsibility of each traveler and this information will be included in your invoice and Bon Voyage email to fully prepare all travelers for their trip.

My goal is to minimize additional fees and expenses when rebooking travel components. However, please note that pre-purchased components like vouchers, private transfers, fast-track services or lounges, etc. might not be recoverable. 

Client Negligence - Failing to Prepare for Departure: Additional Charges for Last-Minute Urgent Requests.   

Please also note that any person's urgent requests to me for transfer information within 48 hours of departure to return home, will result in an charge of $200.00 +HST per booking. 

Transfers and other IMPORTANT travel information will be included within your Bon Voyage email I will send out within 1 week of travel. It is imperative to take the time to read this email thoroughly and be adequately prepared in advance of travel or the very latest 48 hours before returning home to avoid this unnecessary fee. 

Zero charges will be imposed if your urgent message is not related to any fault of your own, such as flight or transfer cancellations, or something else disrupting your travel by your tour operator, or hotel and out of your control.

To help you prepare, Charlene Calwell, The Travel Agent Next Door, will provide a comprehensive travel checklist, including a list of "how to's", and document requirements via email included in your invoice. If required, I will happily make myself available for a phone call to discuss all your travel needs prior to your departure.
