2022 - 2023 Krewe Women Player Info Packet - This should take about 15 minutes to complete

On behalf of the Executive Board, welcome to the next season of Tampa Bay Krewe Women’s Rugby! For returning veterans, we hope you enjoyed some restful and enjoyable time away from rugby, and that you are ready for a strong run this season. For our new members to the club, we look forward to getting you into a red and black Krewe jersey,  and onto the pitch for some fast-paced, action-packed rugby very soon.

We accomplished so much as a club in the 2021-2022 season. We returned to the Florida State Championships for the 3rd year in a row, and took home the trophy to win our first ever Florida State Championship title! We then attended the USA Rugby Gulf Coast Super Regional in Houston, Texas for the first time ever as a club. We finished the season as one of the Top 8 USA Rugby Division II Women’s Rugby Clubs in the country, and we aren’t stopping there. During our fundraising for the postseason, we raised over $5,500 for travel expenses, hosted multiple other fundraisers, volunteered at the Tampa Bay Humane Society, and had an average of 25+ players each practice!

This season is shaping up to be one of the best that the Tampa Bay area has seen!. With the diligence of all those who contributed to our predecessors, we are proud to start our 7th consecutive year as a team and in the Florida Rugby Union, as well as, our sixth year as a competitive team! Along with our D2 and D3 Men and youth U19 boys, we are eager to work side-by-side and make a name for each of our clubs within the community, and to continue to grow our Tampa Bay Krewe Rugby Club culture. We look forward to A LOT of rugby minutes in the coming season, and can’t wait to see what we are capable of accomplishing together. With the leadership of our head coach, this season is going to be an exciting one!

As such, we are asking for your continued support throughout the season. It is going to be a long one, but your commitment and efforts throughout the season will result in success on the field of play and overall growth of our team. Attendance on Tuesday and Thursdays 7:00-9:00 p.m. practices in Tampa/St. Petersburg, a winning attitude, eagerness to learn, constant improvement throughout, availability for matches (home and away), and continual recruitment of new talent to the Club will all be vital to this season. When our Krewe’s best effort is put up to a challenge, no team can compete with us.

Outside of the field of competition we expect everyone to, first, have fun. That’s why we are all here, right? Additionally, let’s all raise our hands when it comes time to step up. Volunteer your time within the Club and within the community through our various service projects. We are a unique women’s sports team made up of a highly diverse group of women; culturally and in our career fields. Let’s look to harness our talents together. Look after one another on and off the pitch, and welcome all those who are willing to help in any way.

Lastly, always be sure to support our great sponsors. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without them, and remind them of that whenever you have the chance.

On behalf of our Executive Board, thank you once again for being here and for all you do. All that being said…let’s have fun and play rugby! See you on the Pitch!

Sincerely,

Jessie “Jupiter” Premet

Club President
