Welcome to the Habersham County Livestock Show Team Interest Registration! Please answer the questions below and provide all the needed information so that the county agriculture teachers and 4-H agent can better assist you with your livestock project for the upcoming show season! Please complete the form for each child!
**Note: Please be aware that dates could change depending on the coronavirus situation. We will follow state and local decisions concerning safety as it relates to housing animals at the barn and the responsibilities of an Ag teacher needing to supervise students with animals not housed at the barn.

Information about each species:

Beef: The deadline for new exhibitors is October 1, 2020. It is recommended that all heifers should not be born before January 1, 2019, and no later than April 1, 2020. It is recommended that all steers should be born after August 1, 2019. All commercial heifers, market heifers, and market steers must be tagged by August 25, 2020, to be exhibited at the Georgia National Fair in October 2020 and by October 23, 2020, to be exhibited at the Georgia Junior National Livestock Show in February 2021.

Dairy (Summer): Cows will be chosen on July 28

Market Goats/Breeding Does: If you are interested in showing goats, you need to fill out the information in this form by May 1st. We will hopefully have a clinic at the beginning of June and shows start toward the end of June. Does can be shown in February as breeding does.

Market Lambs/Breeding Ewes: Same information and deadlines as goats for the state shows.

Pigs (Summer): For Georgia National Fair State Show - Purebred Gilts have to be Feb., March, Or April Born and Commercial Breeding Gilts cannot weigh more than 375 lbs. Market Barrows or Gilts weigh between 215 -285. We usually get them starting June 1st unless you want a Purebred Gilt or Commercial Gilt.
