Basic Camp Information:
The Sharon Robotics Teams will be hosting an Intermediate Robotics Camp on June 20th – 24th, 2022 at Case Avenue Elementary School in Sharon. Participants will have a week-long opportunity to program an EV3 Mindstorm Robot and visit the Valley Fab Lab. Camp will focus on intermediate robot building and behaviors. Some prior knowledge of programming is needed to attend (prior knowledge can include private experience or attendance at a beginner robotics camp.) Intermediate lessons to be taught include sensor usage, line following, loop blocks, switch blocks, parallel beams, data wires, My Blocks, and much more! Students will also work with partners to solve mission challenges on a LEGO themed board. Students will have the opportunity to follow the engineering process to build and program a robot to complete missions throughout the week. All robots and materials will be provided.
New this year is the collaboration with the Valley Fab Lab located at LTI (Laurel Technical Institute), Sharon. Students will visit the Valley Fab Lab during a day of the camp. While there, students will learn about the technology they have and will use one machine to design and produce a product that they will be able to take home.
