Sabi has been an Acting Director since 2020 and has been involved with food cooperatives since 2014. When Sabi planted roots in northeast Portland back in 2015, he started shopping at the Alberta Co-op and has been shopping there ever since. Being impressed and thankful for the value and community provided by co-ops, Sabi joined the Montavilla Food Co-op to continue stewarding this model. He has business experience in management, data analytics, and supply chain. Sabi and his wife are avid gardeners who in 2020 also started raising ducks.

Alex has been an Acting Director since 2020. He was born and raised in Salem, OR and originally moved up to Portland for college. He recently moved into the Montavilla area and was so excited to see a food co-op started here. Alex loves the idea of fresh, local, and sustainable food within easy walking distance of home. He has a bachelors in Political Science, is currently a software engineer, and loves to spend his extra time building up his community.
