Lucky Dog Refuge is hiring! We are looking for positive people who are team players. People who understand that it is more than a job, it is about making a meaningful impact in the lives of others in need. People who can look in the eyes of dogs who have seen the worst and promise them that they will never let them down. 

We are looking for people over 18 years of age, with dog care experience, passion for animals, a willingness to learn, and capable of a very physically demanding pace. Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to self-manage

Our open hours are from 7am to 8pm. Shifts are usually divided between opening and closing shifts. We are located at 36 Pulaski Street in Stamford, CT. 

Rescue is 7 days a week, 365 days a year - including weekends and holidays. We are particularly interested in candidates who have weekend availability; the love and care the dogs need does not know the days of the week!

Most of all, we need reliable, hardworking, team players with positive attitudes, big hearts, and who work well with others....because those are the ones who really make rescue possible and change the world!
Jobs at Lucky Dog Refuge includes walking (a lot) and socializing dogs, cleaning and kennel care, laundry, managing volunteers, feedings and administering medications, and most of all providing a loving and safe environment for the rescue dogs awaiting their forever homes.

1. I, the applicant, accept responsibility of any Dog I am handling on behalf of Lucky Dog Refuge Inc. at my own risk and I release Lucky Dog Refuge Inc and its agents from any and all liability arising out of my possession of the Dog while in my care.

2.  I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of injury or loss interacting with animals, including the Dog I am handling on behalf of Lucky Dog Refuge Inc, whether on site or off the premises.

3.  I agree to assume the full risk of any injury or loss, including, but not limited to: personal injury, property damage, or death, which I or others may sustain related to the handling of the Dog.

4.  I do hereby fully waive, release and discharge Lucky Dog Refuge Inc, its officers, agents, directors, and employees (the “Lucky Dog Refuge Parties”) from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney fees, (collectively “Claims”) which may accrue to me or others on account of my handling of the Dog from Lucky Dog Refuge Inc, including but not limited to any and all Claims caused in whole or in part by the negligence or other fault of the Lucky Dog Refuge Parties.

5.  I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lucky Dog Refuge Inc and the Lucky Dog Refuge Inc Parties from any and all Claims arising out of, connected with, or in any way associated with my handling of the Dog from Lucky Dog Refuge Inc.
