LHS 2023-2024 AVID 10th-12th Grade Student Application
This application is for incoming 10th-12th grade applicants new to AVID.  Application is due by March 3, 2023.

Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an academic elective class offered to students who want to prepare for and attend a four year university.  The curriculum features critical reading/writing, focused note taking, inquiry, collaboration, effective study strategies, college research/visits and leadership activities.

AVID Requirements:

-Motivation and desire to attend college
-Minimum 2.0 GPA
-Good Attendance/Citizenship
-Commitment to daily note taking in all academic classes
-Commitment to study and complete homework every night
Enrollment in Honors/ AP courses as appropriate
