Would you be interested in being a beta reader (aka an "advance reader") for the guidebook?
Beta readers are volunteers who receive a draft of the manuscript and give their feedback on the draft. They don't edit the manuscript, but they do share what they like or don't like about it.
Beta reading will probably start around February 1 and will last 2-3 weeks. It's not paid work, but I will be giving out merch and gifts to people who contribute feedback. You may be mentioned in the book's acknowledgements page.

Would you be interested in contributing to the guidebook?

New Mexico has so many fantastic photographers, guides, historians, naturalists, scientists, and other skilled and wise people. I would love to include some of their work in the guidebook.

You'll get a credit on/near the photo/text itself, and you'll get a listing in the back of the book. I can offer a very, very modest payment of $25-50 per photo or text contribution. All contributions need to be directly related to the route of the trail.

I am especially looking for photos, climate change information, geology information, and especially Native American history and context.
