2022/2023 HIGH PERFORMANCE SQUAD Application
The purpose of the High Performance Squad is to provide top performing athletes (YOB 2004 or earlier) in BC with support to pursue success at the highest levels of biathlon. HP Squad athletes will strive to progress along Biathlon Canada’s Podium Pathway towards the National Team and the international podium.

Athletes on the High Performance Squad will be eligible to apply for grants. Grants will be conditional on meeting certain training benchmarks in the general preparation and specific preparation phases, and submitting data/deliverables to BiBC.

Once named to the Squad, athletes must sign BiBC's Athlete Agreement and register with Canadian Sport Institute Pacific if eligible.

Biathlon Canada Yearly Training Guidelines:
2nd year Sr B/G: 450-500hours
1st year Youth M/W: 500-550 hours
2nd year Youth M/W: 550-600 hours
1st year Junior M/W: 600-625 hours
2nd year Junior M/W: 600-650 hours
3rd year Junior M/W: 650-675 hours
1st year Senior M/W: 650-700 hours
2nd year+ Senior M/W: 650-725+ hours
