2023 ASA Symposium Volunteer Registration
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2023 ASA Symposium hosted at Stanford University!

Please carefully read the descriptions of the roles available to volunteer for, then complete the entire application. While you may hold a specific role, the Symposium is a collaborative venture. You will work closely with other volunteers in person, the Assyrian Studies Association team, and you may also be asked to perform tasks outside of your area of expertise to support the Symposium's success.

You will be provided training to prepare you for both general and role-specific scenarios that you may encounter on the day of Symposium, but you must always be ready to assist attendees, speakers with any questions they may have.

Note:
  1. Interviews will not be conducted
  2. We will try to accommodate your desired shift times to allow you to explore the conference, but shift time slots are not guaranteed.
  3. We do have a 12 person limit on the number of volunteers for this event. Individuals selected are based upon time availability, shift and position selection.

Requirements for ALL Volunteers
  • Be committed to attend your designated volunteer shift in person
  • Be available for training sessions led by the ASA Symposium team
  • Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate with the ASA Symposium team
  • Be available to assist with organizing and packaging conference supplies, and preparing flyers
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for attendees, speakers, and representatives, and assist them as needed
All volunteers must be available to attend mandatory trainings on the following dates:
  • Brief virtual training in the summer - TBA
  • In-person training - TBA
