School Program and Summer Driver Volunteer Application, Waiver & Release of Liability Form 2023/2024
Thank you for expressing an interest in volunteer opportunities with Food4Kids Waterloo Region. Volunteers are our most valuable resource – our organization would not exist without you. Qualified individuals who meet the requirements established for a position are welcomed and needed. Most positions are best suited for adults 18 years+. Some activities are suitable for mature teens (12 years + up) with the assistance of an adult.

School Deliveries:
Drivers are needed every Friday morning during the school year. Using your vehicle, you will deliver bins filled with bags of food directly to each of the schools and/or homes for the children we support. Each route takes approximately 1 hour within the Region of Waterloo (including Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Wilmot and Woolwich). We welcome those who will commit weekly as well as those who are willing to be flexible and called upon as a backup driver. Vulnerable Sector Police Checks are required and you must be able to lift and move up to 14 kg (30 lbs). A cart is provided.

Summer Drivers:
Driver teams are needed every week for the 9 weeks of Summer Break. Using your vehicle, you will deliver a box of fresh produce, grocery cards and grocery staples to the children's homes, ensuring they stay nourished throughout the Summer Break. Each route takes approximately 1 hour within Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge, Wilmot and Woolwich. We welcome one-time drivers, as well as regulars who will commit to multiple dates throughout the summer. Vulnerable Sector Police Checks are required and you must be able to lift and move up to 14 kg (30 lbs). A cart is provided.
