Kids of all ages are invited to try being a vendor for the day! The Coquitlam Farmers Market 'Kids Day' takes place on August 4th in the Dogwood Pavilion Parking Lot from 9am-1pm.
We’ve organized the Kids Market to give you an opportunity to put your entrepreneurial side to the test. If you make a great item that you think people would like to buy, we’d love to support your effort. Here are the details:
Registration cost - $5.
For health and safety reasons, food items must follow the guidelines in the CFMS Vendor Agreement
** We strongly recommend no food items **
All items must be handmade by YOU!
Your Space: We will supply all tents and tables for the day. You will be assigned half of a 6-foot table. You’ll need to bring everything else that you’d like to use for your display, including a table cloth.
Set-Up: 8am-9am
- Your table MUST be set up and ready to go at 9am, so we recommend that you set up a practice run at home to make sure you work out all the details beforehand.
Tear Down: 1pm-1:30pm - All vendor displays must remain standing until the market closes at 1pm - even if you sell out of product.
Pricing: This is entirely up to you. Consider the cost of your materials, the time you spent making your product, and the pricing of similar items at the market.
Quantities: This is really hard to predict and depends greatly on what you are selling! If you are selling one or two items, a suggestion is 12-18 of each.
Float: All registrants are responsible for their own float. We suggest having approximately $20 in small change (quarters, loonies and toonies) but you may want to have a larger float if your items are higher in price.
All Kids’ Marketplace participants should work with Market Staff to determine whether a guardian should be present for the duration of the market.
