The Tech Affairs Committee is the main source of innovation in TAMU SHPE. We dedicate our time to provide members leadership and technical experience that better prepares them for the engineering industry. As a new member to the committee you are guided through the process of creating your own personal website. This website allows you to provide recruiters an interactive extension of your resume and helps you stand out in a sea of qualified engineers. After successfully creating your website, you are encourage to join (or potentially start your own) a project team with one of our project leads. We have a lot of new things coming as well, which can be categorized into three different categories:
- Personal Website Guide (Redesign)
- Hardware
- Educational Guides
Additionally we also have our Main Website. We have the class projects as well, we will limit these to about 20 people, you'll be able to work with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi while also getting to know another SHPEster! We will only be working on these projects for five weeks and the remainder of the time will be workshops that we have planned or just helping people with their personal websites. These committee meetings are intended to be a chill environment while also still learning. We are excited to create a better sense of community in the tech affairs committee this year and are excited to have you join.
