Head Start LC & Grade 9 Orientation: AUGUST 29, 30, 31 2022

Welcome Grade 9 Lancers! We invite you to join us for an amazing 3 days to help you to become part of our LCVI Community. Our Head Start program is uniquely designed for all our incoming grade 9 students to find out that Learning as a Lancer is fun, engaging and sometimes challenging but always within a supportive, caring, inclusive, and diverse environment. Led by a really cool group of LC teachers and facilitated by our even cooler group of student LINK LEADERS, we guarantee you will have a fantastic time. Our Head Start program is an integral part of our grade 9 orientation and so we want all grade 9 Lancers to attend!!

So what happens at Head Start?
* you get to meet and hang out with the LCVI class of 2025. (that's YOU!)
* you learn how high school is different, how to deal with that, and where to go for help.
* you get to do some fun (crazy and a bit wild ssshhhhhh!!) activities...where you actually learn some stuff.
* you get to work with some incredible senior student LINK leaders.
* we learn together what it means to be a Lancer.
* we learn how to be really successful in high school.
* we figure out together if you have any math gaps that we can help you with before school starts. (EEK the math word!!) Love math and want to be challenged? Hate math and find it really hard? Somewhere in between? GREAT!! THEN DEFINITELY HEAD START IS FOR YOU!
* you get cool LC swag, locker, timetable and be 100% prepared to start high school.

Schedule:
Monday, August 29th: 8:30 - 2:30 Head Start LC (Bring a lunch)
Tuesday, August 30th: 8:30 - 2:30 Head Start LC (Bring a lunch)
Wednesday, August 31st: 8:30 - 11:30 Head Start LC THEN LINK CREW ORIENTATION STARTS AT 11:30 AM with a pizza lunch. We finish at 2:30.

We would like to have your registration by August 20th for our planning but we always accept them no matter what!
