本研討會以植物園遺址出土之日治時期瓷器為啟發，從物質研究的觀點展開近現代消費文化的相關討論。期待藉由製造技術、風格文化等面相，釐清日治時期的臺灣曾出現之瓷器的來源與文化內涵，並納入消費模式、社會經濟狀況等不同視角。進一步探討當時方興未艾的消費交流活動，在臺灣、日本、乃至整個亞洲近現代史中的角色與位置，全球化的現象何以牽動與影響整體人類的生活面貌。
將邀請不同領域的學者先進齊聚一堂，討論主題包含多個面向，以期提供一個公開對談的平臺，促成跨國學術交流，共同針對近現代全球化社會下物質傳播議題與多元文化社會發表嶄新觀點。歡迎踴躍參與及蒞臨指教。

Remarks:- Please see the registration link for more conference details. The morning session on October 25th will be open lectures, while the activities held in the afternoon regarding the observation and study of artifacts are exclusive for presenters.
- Simultaneous interpretation in Mandarin, Japanese, and Korean will be provided during the conference.
- Disposable tableware will not be provided. Please bring your own eco-friendly cups and utensils.
