Sign-Up | 2025 Community of Practice

Thank you for your interest in participating in our fourth cohort of Equity Community of Practice! We deeply appreciate the ongoing support and commitment for spaces such as these to connect us together in our equity work.

About the Program

The Equity Community of Practice Program is a bi-weekly space intended to convene members of Regional Food Banks (RFB) and Partner Agencies (PA) in Oregon and SW Washington. This virtual space is intended to support participants to experience and build on skills that sustain themselves in their equity work as well as build a robust social network among our service area.

Over the course of 8 sessions, starting in April 2025, the Network Equity & Racial Justice (NERJ) team will facilitate 2 hour sessions to:
- Build up language accessibility at food sites
- Develop an embodied presence via mindfulness, meditation, reflection, and integration (aka self and community care)
- Center intentional relationship building & mapping

The NERJ team will offer discussion, practice, reflection and integration spaces throughout our time together to ensure participants have a fulfilling experience with each other and with themselves.

We see this work as an opportunity to plant seeds and tend to the emerging growth that shows up in our equity work at food assistance sites. The Equity Community of Practice program seeks to reduce feelings of isolation in equity work by creating opportunities for connection and creating space to hear the perspectives from other members in the Network about how to do this work.
