About You
We are looking for amazing Dance Workshop Facilitators who are passionate about teaching dance to children and young people within a school setting!

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who have previous experience either as a dance workshop facilitator or dance teacher.

You must be a trained and experienced dance teacher, ideally within a school environment.

Adaptable to many dance styles, from traditional to more modern and world themes.

A brilliant communicator, outgoing, confident and upbeat.

Flexible, our schools all have different needs and requirements, and you must be able to think on your feet.

Punctual, with excellent planning and organisational skills.

Professional credits and experience are desired but not essential.

A recent (within the last 3 years) enhanced DBS check or on the DBS auto-update. This must be clean and not have any convictions or cautions. We can help apply for one if needed.

Be able to drive with access to a car and a clean driving licence.

What difference will you make?

For many school children, our dance workshops provide the chance to try something different, away from the classroom and help boost confidence. We are looking for team members to inspire and educate through the medium of dance.

We cannot guarantee the volume of workshops, so this would suit someone who is flexible and can take on extra work around their existing commitments.

About the Role
As a Dance Days workshop facilitator, you will be the face of Dance Days. Our workshops are tailored to each topic or style and training, props and music will be provided where necessary.

What will you be doing?

You will go to schools within your home region/area to deliver dance workshops linking to the chosen topic(s) and style(s).

A typical day will include:

Travelling to the school and being on-site at least 15 minutes before, all ready to start the workshop at the agreed time.

Our workshops usually start at 9 am through to 3.30 pm with breaks and lunch throughout the day, or half days either AM or PM.

Depending on the school requirements, you could be running up to 7 sessions lasting up to 45 minutes or more sessions lasting up to 30 minutes. Some schools require a day of dance, and you could be teaching 7 different styles, from Musicals in the morning to Indian or Street in the afternoon or a full day of Flamenco with 7 different groups.

The timetable will be published in the portal as soon as the school confirms it.

Some schools require a presentation at the end of the day.
