The Hydrogeology division of the GSA provides nominal funds to support this lecture series, however the actual costs for travel and lodging often exceed this allocation considerably and thus inviting institutions are expected to share local costs of accommodation and contribute to travel  expenses to be discussed on a case-by-case basis with the lecturer. (Note that lack of funds will not be an important factor in determining a site visit.)
