QEHS Home School Agreement - Year 7 September 2023

The school will endeavour to:

· Ensure that your child achieves their full potential as a valued member of the school community

· Support your child in achieving high standards of work and behaviour by building good relationships and developing a sense of responsibility

· Design and deliver a balanced curriculum that meets the needs of your child

·  Keep you informed about your child’s progress

· Let you know about any concerns that affect your child’s work or behaviour

· Set, mark and monitor homework, and check planners regularly

· Keep you informed about general school matters

· Provide a happy and secure learning environment

· Be open and welcoming and offer opportunities for you to become involved in the life of the school

As Parent(s) or Guardian(s), I/we shall endeavour to:

 · See that my child attends school regularly, on time, in uniform and properly equipped

· Make the school aware of any concerns which are likely to affect my child’s work

· Support the school in expecting and maintaining high standards of behaviour

· Ensure that the right atmosphere is provided for homework

· Check and sign my child’s planner regularly

· Contact school on each day of my child’s absence

· Encourage my child to take responsibility for their own behaviour and actions

· Agree to and abide by the QEHS ICT Code of Conduct

· Agree and to abide by the QEHS Parents and Carers Code of Conduct

· Attend school regularly, on time and in uniform that is worn correctly in and out of school

· Bring all the books and equipment I need for every  lesson

· Do all my class work and homework as well as I can

· Hand in all my homework and coursework on time

· Support my House and become involved with school clubs and activities

· Be considerate and helpful to others

· Take responsibility for my own behaviour and actions

· Respect other people’s property

· Show my planner regularly to my Parent/Guardian for discussion and signing

· Agree to and abide by the QEHS ICT Code of Conduct
