Welcome to SAATHI!

SAATHI Enabling Centre of Fergusson College has been working since 2007 to accomplish its aim of creating a friendly atmosphere for differently abled students by bridging the gap between abled and disabled.

SAATHI conducts various extra curricular activities and sessions for students with special needs which help them integrate with campus life in a better manner. These are some of the activities and initiatives:

Annual Fest ::
SAATHI has its grand departmental and cultural fest. Events in Saathi's fest are designed in a manner which is recreational for the specially abled as well as the able bodied and can be participated in by everyone.

Saathi's Trip ::
Every year, Saathi organizes a one day excursion for its students and volunteers. The trip is an enriching experience for visually impaired students as they are narrated their surroundings by volunteers and are enabled to feel it by themselves.

Writers/Recordings ::
Saathi provides writers to blind students for their exams, assignments and projects in Fergusson College as well as in other nearby colleges as per requirements. The updated versions of the syllabi are continuously kept pace with and are get recorded from time to time by our volunteers.

Let'sRecord Initiative ::
Let'sRecord was started at the beginning of nationwide lockdown for recording audiobooks and other study material for visually impaired students. It's a social cause that can be worked for, just sitting at home. It is open to anyone and everyone who wishes to volunteer.

Virtual Study Circle ::
E-learning is difficult than classroom learning for blind students. Under this activity, our students and the volunteers will be engaged in an effective academic discussion; the concepts which have been taught will get revised, and help students in solving doubts and understanding better.

These activities are organized in a way which not only helps our students, but also gives the volunteers a beautiful experience of working for a social cause.

◾Last year, our volunteer count went past 450 as students from colleges all around Pune volunteered for our NGO. Our whole team of volunteers is our strength and we invite you to become a part of this strength!.

◾Volunteering with us earns you 6 credits per year. The credit based system as per SPPU requires every student to earn 12 extra credits before completion of their graduation. These credits become very useful while pursuing a Master's Degree.

सन २००७ पासून, फर्ग्युसन महाविद्यालयात 'साथी' हे दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी महाविद्यालयीन परिसरामध्ये मैत्रीपूर्ण वातावरण निर्मितीसाठी काम करत आहे. दिव्यांग विद्यार्थी व इतर विद्यार्थी यांच्यातील एक महत्वपूर्ण दुवा म्हणून साथी आपली भूमिका बजावत आहे.

विविध प्रकारच्या कार्यक्रमांच्या आणि उपक्रमांच्या माध्यमातून साथी दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांच्या महाविद्यालयीन व नंतरच्या आयुष्याचा एक महत्वपूर्ण भाग आहे. महाविद्यालयात दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी दुजाभाव निर्माण होऊ नये म्हणून दरवर्षी साथी पुढीलप्रमाणे उपक्रम राबवत असते:


वार्षिक महोत्सव ( Annual Fest) ::
साथी विभागाचा दरवर्षी अत्यंत आकर्षक व सुंदर महोत्सव होत असतो. ह्यामध्ये विविध प्रकारचे खेळ, सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आणि आयुष्यभर पुरणारा अनुभव, ह्यामुळे साथीचा वार्षिक महोत्सव महाविद्यालयात खूपच प्रचलित आहे. इतर विद्यार्थ्यांप्रमाणे दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी अनुकुल असणारा साथीचा वार्षिक महोत्सव सर्वाना समान संधी उपलब्ध करुन देतो.


साथी शैक्षणिक सहल ( Saathi Trip) ::
प्रत्येक वर्षी, साथी आपल्या विद्यार्थ्यांसाठी आणि स्वयंसेवकांसाठी एकदिवसीय शैक्षणिक सहल आयोजित करत असते. साथी मध्ये असलेल्या प्रत्येकासाठी ही सहल एक वेगळा अनुभव असतो. साथीच्या सहलीत दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांसोबत तुम्हांला आयुष्याकडे बघण्याचा एक नवा दृष्टीकोन निर्माण होइल.


रेकॉर्डिंग/ राईटर्स ::
साथी दर वर्षी, दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांच्या परीक्षा, प्रोजेक्ट आणि असाइनमेंटसाठी साठी त्यांना राईटर्स मिळवून देत असतो. फक्त फर्ग्युसन महाविद्यालयात नव्हे तर इतर महाविद्यालयांमध्ये देखील साथीचे स्वयंसेवक राईटर्स म्हणून  काम करत असतात. अभ्यासक्रमाच्या आधारे प्रत्येक विद्यार्थ्यांला पूर्ण वेळेत रेकॉर्डिंग उपलब्ध करून दिल्या जातात.


◾Let's Record अभियान ::
 कोरोना महामारीमुळे पूर्ण देशभरात झालेल्या लाॅकडाऊनच्या सुरुवातीला साथीच्या स्वयंसेवकांनी एकत्र येऊन ऑडिओबुक  रेकॉर्ड करण्यासाठी Let's Record हे अभियान सुरू केले.आपण घरबसल्या रेकॉर्ड करुन  दिव्यांग विद्यार्थ्यांच्या उपयोगी येऊ शकता.

Virtual Study Circle ::
E learning ही आपल्या नेहमी चार भिंतीच्या क्लासरूमपेक्षा वेगळी ठरत आहे. ह्यासाठीच ह्या उपक्रमाच्या आधारे साथीचे विद्यार्थी व स्वयंसेवक, दर आठवड्याला शिकवलेल्या भागावर चर्चा करतात आणि एकमेकांच्या आधारे असलेल्या अडचणी दूर करतात.

◾ह्या सगळ्या उपक्रमांमार्फत आम्ही फक्त विद्यार्थ्यांना मतदच करत नाही तर त्यांना मुख्य प्रवाहात आणतो. तसेच स्वयंसेवकांना एका वेगळ्या सामाजिक प्रश्नावर काम करण्याची संधी मिळते. मागील शैक्षणिक वर्षात पुण्याच्या विविध महाविद्यालयांमधून ४५० हून अधिक स्वयंसेवक साथीचे सदस्य होते. साथीची सर्वात मोठी ताकद ही स्वयंसेवकांची टीम आहे आणि तुम्ही ही ह्या टीमचा हिस्सा बनू शकता.

◾साथीमध्ये सहभागी झाल्यानंतर एका वर्षात तुम्हांला ६ क्रेडिट्स मिळतात. सावित्रीबाई फुले पुणे विद्यापीठाच्या अंतर्गत  पदवीच्या काळात तुम्हांला एक्स्ट्रा क्रेडिट मिळवणे आवश्यक आहे. हेच क्रेडिट तुम्हांला पदव्युत्तर शिक्षणासाठी उपयोगी ठरतात.
