Thank you for your interest in a virtual field trip! These programs are led by a live Planetarium Educator and include time for Q&A at the end. These programs are available for a variety of ages.

We can give you a link for Zoom or Microsoft Teams that you can distribute to your students, or you can invite us to your platform.

Fee: $100 for a class (up to 30 students).
$125 for Magic Tree House: Space Mission (program runs about 75 minutes)
Programs run approximately 45 minutes.
Payment can be made by mailing a check to the RVCC Planetarium or by credit card over the phone.

Rockin' Rocket Ride (grades PreK-K) Our popular show has an online version. Join us on an adventure into space to learn about the Sun, Moon, and planets.

Storybooks in Space (grades PreK-K) We'll share a storybook and then expand on the science introduced in it.

To the Moon and Back (grades PreK-2) Begin with a story about the Moon, then watch the Moon change shape in our virtual sky, and pretend to be astronauts who can travel there.

Magic Tree House: Space Mission (Grades K-4) Join Jack and Annie as they look for answers to questions about space. Together, we’ll explore some of those topics to see if we find similar answers. (Grades K-4)

Cosmic Address (grades K-12) - You probably know your home address, but what about where you live in the Universe?

Our Solar System (grades K-12) Take a tour of the planets and moons in our solar system.

Tonight's Sky (grades K-12) Using Stellarium software, identify stars and constellations we can see tonight and learn some constellation stories that go along with them.

Patterns in the Sky: The Sun (Grades 2-12) Observe the Sun's rising and setting positions through the year.

Patterns in the Sky: Moon Phases (Grades 2-12) Why and how does the Moon's shape change?

True or False: Astronomy Version (Grades 5-12) Some statements seem obvious, but are they? We'll explore statements like "brighter stars are closer to us" and "the Moon is only visible at night."
