Thanks for showing interest in volunteering with us in Pillapalu (
www.pillapalu.ee)
PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT HELP WITH GETTING VISAS TO ENTER ESTONIA OR LETTERS OF INVITATION TO WORK.
Please complete the form below to help us find suitable activities for you and note the following before submitting your info. Thanks :)
1.We provide accommodation and 3 meals a day plus tea/coffee/water. We do not supply alcohol so bring your own if you want but please bear in mind it's not an "alcohol party" place :)
2. The forest sauna will be on at least one evening per week, usually at the weekend.
3. You can expect comfort but not luxury.
4. This is a quite peaceful place and we are 9km (walk or bike), 12km (car) from the nearest shop and Aegviidu train station. There are no buses to Pillapalu. We can pick up and drop off at Aegviidu station.
5. We have both indoor and outdoor cooking areas.
6. We try to give volunteers a private room but sometimes sharing is necessary (agreed in advance).
7. We are a family business (2 teenage kids) and have one part time helper and "Cookie" and "Poppy", our super friendly dogs.
8. We have wifi, movies, books, music, board games
9. We expect a minimum of 6 hours work in exchange for our hospitality but no-one is counting. You can work when you want, take breaks, go for walks, read, sleep or whatever. You can determine your own schedule mostly unless working on a project in a team. One day off per week if you work a full week.
10. We are family friendly (there are tasks for everyone!) so we welcome families with kids and dogs too :)
11. All are welcome whatever your age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, colour, religion or disability but please note there is no wheelchair access here.
12. During your stay we would like you to prepare at least one meal or dish. It could be a dinner or just a dessert or soup. It's up to you, something traditional from your culture or a special favourite.
13. If you decide to take other days off that's fine but we would expect you to work extra hours on other days if you are still sleeping and eating with us. We can decide whats reasonable together with you when you are here
14. Everyone helps with cooking, table preparation and washing up. That's not considered work...just life !
