Please fill out this form and apply to present a workshop at the 2024 Círculo summer conference. The conference will be both online and in-person. The online conference will be held in-person in Santa Cruz, California, on Saturday, August 17th, and then we will meet via Zoom the following week on Saturday, August 24th. You may apply to present a workshop on one or both dates. Please plan a 75-minute session.
We welcome proposals in any literary genre: poetry, prose, nonfiction, etc., or any combination thereof. Each year, our conference offers multiple workshops for participants in a spirit of hope, imaginative fun, and openness.
Send us something that stimulates the senses and builds community. We hope that workshops will address the Círculo mission of encouraging diverse voices in the creation of multilingual multicultural poetry and prose. In addition, workshops are open to all writers from those just starting their writing journey to published authors. We especially encourage submissions from BIPOC writers and activists. There are so many ways we approach creative writing. What can you share with us?

A year-long Círculo membership is offered to all workshop leaders. In addition, workshop leaders are invited to feature at the October 12th Tardeada & Open Mic (online via Zoom).
Please note: If selected as a workshop leader, it is expected that you participate in the rest of the conference. The idea of Círculo is that we support and inspire each other, and we hope you'll stay and build community with us!
