and include your 8 digit UCID and the course code of the course you wish to add. Due to the volume of these requests,
incomplete or inaccurate submissions cannot be accommodated. Questions about this form can be sent to Val Huston, Enrollment Manager, at
vhuston@uchicago.edu.
Students are added to a course waitlist in the order their request is submitted, on a first come/first served basis, and seats are filled from the waitlist as they become available in this same order.
There are no exceptions to this policy.
Because the Summer Session Office manages all waitlist requests, appeals sent to instructors will be routed to our office. Please do not appeal to the course instructor, as they do not oversee the waitlist process.
Unlike the rest of the academic year, the summer term is not automatically activated so students must request summer term activation.
STUDENTS WITHOUT AN ACTIVE SUMMER TERM CANNOT BE ENROLLED. If you have not already done so, please go to
https://registrar.uchicago.edu/registration/college-process/self-term-activation/ to request summer term activation before submitting this form.
If you would like to request to be placed on the waitlist for more than one course, please submit this form separately for each request.
Please note that by submitting this form you are agreeing to the following:1. You meet the course prerequisites for the courses for which you are requesting to be placed on a waitlist.
2. Your Summer 2024 term is active, students without an active term cannot be enrolled.
3. You do not have any enrollment holds on your account.
4. If you are no longer interested in being on the waitlist you will contact vhuston@uchicago.edu to be taken off the list.
5. You will check your email daily for notice of available space in a class and respond within 1 business day of the email being sent. Failure to respond within one business day could result in the available seat being offered to the next student on the course waitlist.
