Columbia Research Study Sign-Up Form
Researchers at Columbia University are working on new technologies that help people with visual impairments navigate using sound. The tools can help people navigate the real world (places such as grocery stores) as well as virtual worlds in video games.

Study participants will play several versions of a video game using a video game controller and a standard pair of headphones. We will be conducting the study entirely online. We will give you a link to download the game from the internet, and we will use a phone call or audio chat session to converse while conducting the study.

The study will be conducted starting from March 1, 2021. We expect the study will last no longer than 2 hours, but we expect most participants to complete the study within 90 minutes. Participants must have their own game controllers.

This study has been approved by the Columbia University Institutional Review Board (IRB Protocol Number IRB-AAAT5967). If you are selected for the study, we will contact you at the e-mail address you specify.

We hope that this study will be a lot of fun. Thank you for your interest!
