Dr. Rowell received his PhD in Counseling Psychology from Texas A & M University in 1992 and completed his internship at the John McClellan VA Medical Center. Dr. Rowell has been an American Red Cross disaster counselor and trainer since 1999, and he has conducted training seminars for the India Psychological Association and the Iranian Psychological Association. He is the disaster response coordinator for the Arkansas Psychological Association and just recently served 6 years on the American Psychological Association's Disaster Response Committee. Dr. Rowell has provided mental health services in NYC after the attacks on September 11, 2001, and many other disaster events in the United States as well as trauma training and crisis intervention work among Muslim refugees in the Oinofya refugee camp in Greece. Dr. Rowell is also a licensed psychologist and continues to provide counseling services with a faith-based clinic in Arkansas.
