Migration Exchange: Gathering insights on leadership development in the migration and refugee sector
We are Julia and Kate, two consultants working with Migration Exchange (MEX) to understand how leadership skills are developed both formally and informally across the migration and refugee sector. We want to help MEX better understand who is developing leadership skills, why and how they are doing it and what else they might need in the future. This learning is also for the sector as a whole, to hopefully broaden narratives and practices and leverage funds.

We’re looking to understand leadership development in the broadest sense: this doesn’t need to be formal training. In fact, we are particularly interested in hearing from people who are building leadership skills as part of their approach to change and shifting power, or who might have developed the way they work through informal or grass roots experiences rather than through attending a course.

We’d love to hear your views, and also invite you to register for participation in future conversations with other people in the sector interested in how we continue to foster leadership skills across the sector.
