The Sharpsburg Ecodistrict was established by Sharpsburg Neighborhood Organization (SNO) to improve the quality of life for Sharpsburg residents and other local stakeholders by boosting the community’s environmental performance, strengthening the local economy, and improving social equity.
To advance these goals, the Sharpsburg Ecodistrict Collaborative was formed, a collaboration of local organizations that includes SNO, Roots of Faith, the Sharpsburg Community Library, Second Harvest, and Volunteers of America. Together with residents, the Collaborative coordinates ongoing programs and activities that improve six quality of life areas in Sharpsburg: Equity, Food, Water, Energy, Air Quality, and Mobility.
