Local Control Accountability Plan ( LCAP) – Community Input
Oakland Military Institute (OMI) College Preparatory Academy is sending out this survey to get stakeholder input on how best to use some specific funding for both our 2021-22 school year and our Local Control Accountability Plan.

We appreciate your feedback and will report on it in upcoming Board Meetings and communications.

The LCAP is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities. The LCAP provides an opportunity for local educational agencies (LEAs) to share their stories of how, what, and why programs and services are selected to meet their local needs.
How funds can be used:
OMI recognizes that some students have been deeply impacted by the interruption to instruction that has occurred due to COVID-19 over the past year.

As part of a learning recovery program, OMI will receive additional funds to support those students who have been most affected by this interruption. These funds can only be used for the following specific purposes:

• Expanded learning (extending the school year or day, or in other ways increasing the amount of instructional time/services provided)
• Learning supports (tutoring or similar small group instruction, learning recovery programs, training on accelerated learning strategies)
• Integrated pupil supports (health, counseling, mental health services, social and emotional learning)
• Community learning hubs (including access to technology and internet access)
• Credit recovery (supports in helping students earn the credits they need to graduate)
• Additional academic services (including diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring)
• Training for school staff (including on social-emotional health and academic needs)
