Student Return to School Survey
The Board and Administration are considering a first-semester reopening plan for the new school year; this plan will provide for both in-person and virtual instruction per survey results. A second-semester plan will be addressed after our return this fall.

Upon receiving input from you as parents as to our shortcomings in virtual delivery this past spring, we are committed to providing the best education possible. Earlier survey responses made clear there needed to be more instruction provided in our virtual platform. To do so, there needs to be committed time for our teachers to prepare their lessons for this platform, in addition to teaching in-person. The best option would be having a four-day instructional week, which will follow a student's complete daily schedule. The “off-day” will: 1) provide for teacher prep time; 2) reflection and modification for best practices in hybrid instruction; 3) morning and afternoon virtual office hours/student support districtwide. In addition, this new first-semester calendar will move the scheduled early-release days and teacher in-service to the “off-day.”

Considering the above, please answer the following, in addition to several other questions, we’d like further input on as we build for the reopening plan.
