Dear Parent/Carer,
In addition to our normal curriculum, the school also provides musical tuition during the school day. There are 30 lessons a year divided between the three terms. Pupils have a lesson most weeks, but the time varies so that the same subject is not missed every week. Timetables are available for pupils to check in advance and are scheduled for a full term.
Each term, pupils receive 10 individual 20 minute lessons. The cost of this is £100 per term (£10 per lesson). However, vocal lessons can be paired and this reduces the cost to £50 a term. Singing lessons are an extremely popular option and are led by Mrs Williams (Lead Vocal Practitioner for Lancashire Music Service). If you wish your child to be considered for a paired singing lesson, please state this clearly on the form. Payment must be made in advance before any lessons commence through ParentPay, our online payment system. If you wish to terminate music lessons at any point throughout the year a full term’s written notice is required.
If children are ill or fail to attend, the fee cannot be repaid to parents. The times of the lessons can be changed for pupils who are unable to attend because of tests or coursework but only after consultation with Mrs Dalgleish.
If you are in receipt of free school meals you may apply to the school for financial help.

Please indicate on the reply slip below what instrument your child is playing and whether you own your own. If the instrument belongs to you, you should insure it against loss or damage before using it in school.
The school will be offering tuition during 2022/23 during the school day in Drums, Voice, Keyboard/Piano, Strings and Guitar.
