Application for Membership - Fall 2022
Greetings from Ithaca, New York, the new headquarters of Art Office!

Thank you so much for your interest in Art Office. We are now accepting applications for our Fall/Winter 22/23 session, which will run from October 16th to February 3rd. The deadline to apply is October 12th.

Please set aside some time to read and review the information below before submitting your application. Art Office is not a club, and the program is not a joke. We take our commitments seriously, and require that of all members do the same. If it sounds too big of a commitment for you, it probably is. Please be honest with yourself and us, and do not apply for membership if you don't think you'll be able to really commit to the program.

In order to apply, you must first meet these fundamental requirements:

• You have a creative practice, and
• You want more out of it.

We require you to have a basic understanding and proficiency using a computer, Zoom, and Google Docs.

We ask that you attend the majority of Art Office functions (over Zoom). Of course, life gets in the way sometimes, but the bottom line is that you’ll get out of the program what you put in, so the more you participate, the better results you can expect to see.

Participating in Art Office also means that you work well around others. Just like in any office workplace, there’s always the possibility of personality clashes in our program. We are committed to addressing substantive and/or consistent complaints.

Meetings for the Fall/Winter 22/23 session will take place Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at 7E/6C.

If you meet the requirements for membership, you'll receive an email requesting an interview. At the interview, you can expect me to go over everything I’ve just said, and more, to make absolutely sure that you know what you’d be getting yourself into.

Qualifying artists are then selected for membership based primarily on diversity of creative practice, and then diversity in general. Art Office is an equal-opportunity “employer,” which means all applicants will be considered for membership without discriminatory attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

Membership is currently $56 for the 12-week program, payable to Art Office General Manager, Carla Baudrons via PayPal, Venmo, or any major credit card. This fee covers the cost of Art Office’s WordPress website, domain, shipping, materials, marketing, and labor. Membership fees are subject to change as the organization grows, but never during an active session.
