Guardian Support Group
Research shows that group therapy helps harvest healthy parenting skills, increases empowerment and confidence, provides a nonjudgmental atmosphere, and safeguards a sense of belonging.  Lifelong Wellness Center Counseling, PLLC is affirmative and inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ and People of Color (POC) communities.  A "parent" is not solely defined by the DNA shared between the child and caretaker; not all participants are biological parents of the clientele.  This group welcomes all forms of parents, caregivers, and guardians, including partners.

This support group serves parents, caregivers, and legal guardians of children ages starting at three years old though eighteen; cohorts may depend on the number of participants per group and children' ages.  To respect physical distancing, there is a maximum of eight members per group.  All COVID-19 safety protocols are to be followed (i.e., asymptomatic, wash hands before/after, wearing masks regardless of vaccination status).  Virtual participation for all Connecticut residents is also available via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, Google Meet (downloadable on all devices).

Group will meet every other week (possibly monthly) on THURSDAYS from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at 500 Monroe Turnpike in Monroe, CT.  If you are seeking support for more than one child, please click "submit another response" for each additional child after finishing your first survey below.  For any further questions, please call for a free 15-minute consultation, via info@lwccounseling.com or call 203-470-5028. Thank you and stay well!
