Factors Influencing Sexual Satisfaction among Malaysian

1.) Who is conducting the study?
This research study is conducted by Tee Chin Teng, a final-year college student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (American Degree Program) at SEGi College Kota Damansara. This study is supervised by Mr Kenny Ng Suet Choon, a lecturer from the department of the American Degree Program at SEGi College Kota Damansara.

2.) What is the research study about?
This study aims to study the relationship between sexual self-esteem, sexual anxiety, and sexual assertiveness on sexual satisfaction among Malaysian aged 12 and above.

3.) What am I going to be asked to do?
You are invited to fill in a questionnaire consisting of your demographics, and sexual self-concept survey. It should take you approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete this questionnaire. All your responses will be recorded and stored electronically and protected by the researchers. No audio or video recording is required.

4.) Are there any risks involved in this study?
There are no identified risks involved in this study. However, some statements in the questionnaire may be sensitive personally to some participants because they describe tasks you may or may not do well. This can be distressing to some participants. If you feel distressed or uncomfortable in answering, you may stop the survey at any time.

5.) What are the possible benefits of this study?
There are no direct benefits to you from participating in this research. No incentives are offered. However, the findings of this study will benefit society especially the human resource practitioners, industrial and organizational psychologists, and business managers in the organizational settings. The findings may provide a more in-depth understanding of this research topic and improve the screening process for employment purposes.

6.) Do I have to participate in this study?
No, your participation in this study is completely voluntary. If you initially agree to participate in this study, you have the right to withdraw from the study at any time without penalty.

7.) Are my responses to the study confidential?
Your responses to the questionnaire in this study are confidential. Your name is not asked in this study. In addition, your responses are stored in a password-protected file that will not be viewed by any participants. Only the researcher and research supervisor in this study will be able to access the data.
