The responsibilities of the Admissions-Training Committee (ATC) are to serve as readers for ATC committee applications, help facilitate the interview process, and to assist with Training Day. During interviews, ATC members are responsible for checking applicants in, taking photos, crowd control, presenting our health requirements, and answering applicants' questions. While ATC members do not directly interview the applicants, there are numerous opportunities to learn about the interview process and interact with the program staff. Additionally, ATC members will work closely with the Training Coordinators to facilitate Training Day. These duties include meeting with the Training Coordinators to review Training Day responsibilities and assisting on Training Day.
If selected, you will be required to complete 8 hours (subject to change) of interview shifts on Wednesday, October 5th and/or Thursday, October 6th at the UCLA Santa Monica Medical Center.
ATC members will also assist with Training Day setup from 10 AM-12 PM, facilitate Safe Patient Handling (SPH) stations from 12 PM-2:30 PM at either the UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital or Santa Monica Medical Center, and help clean up from 2:30 PM-3 PM. ATC members will also act as floaters on standby throughout Training Day to assist Osanna, Silva, and/or the Training Coordinators. Training Day will be taking place on
Sunday, November 6th.
Committee shifts cannot substitute department shifts, as committee shifts are an extra commitment on top of your normal Care Extender responsibilities.
Please be as honest and concise as you can in your responses, and share the best representation of your personality!
