Takeaways from the team experience and how to learn from this:
In group projects, one of the challenges is motivating everyone to follow through on their parts. There's an interesting psychological fact that some individuals, even unintentionally, will in group effort type challenges such as crew rowing, apply less effort than in individual challenges. The interesting thing is, when interviewed, individuals will often report the same level of effort, so it's not always a conscious thing. Therefore, one takeaway from this project should be to think back and observe what happened, then ask yourself what strategies could have been used to reduce any issues that came up. Here are some links on team management in science and data science. We didn't have time to cover this, but you should read further on the topic and I have also added these links to the links page and will add to github as well. As you can see, this is not a trivial topic, so if things were not perfect, realize it's another thing to learn from in the course and if it went really well, you should be proud of that fact, however also educate yourself because having techniques to deal with team challenges is very important to succeed in the broad set of circumstances that might arise during projects.
