Teacher’s Commitment - To ensure that teachers and schools receive the greatest possible benefit from the IYTCM programme and can expect the outcomes achieved in research teachers are asked to carefully consider the commitments set out here and sign below. *

I understand that I am committed to attending six one-day sessions held over 5/6 months. This attendance is required to successfully complete the training and receive a certificate of completion.

I understand that each day is six and half hours with 15-minute morning break and a half hour lunch break.

Should an exceptional circumstance arise where I cannot attend I will notify the Education Centre immediately.

I understand that I must complete the assigned reading and practice the skills/strategies between each workshop.

I understand that the programme will require me to develop a behaviour plan for a target child/children. I understand that the group leader’s role will be to facilitate the application of the principles of the programme to the behaviour plan and cannot be considered a psychological service to the target child/children.

I understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that the behaviour plans will be in line with the school’s policy regarding student support and adhere to the school’s procedures in relation to parental consent and involvement.

I have discussed my attendance with the principal who has agreed to support my participation in and application of learning from this six day programme.

Invitation to Participate in NEPS evaluation of IYTCM programme 2019/2020. NEPS wishes to recruit a representative cohort of class teachers who would be willing to assist with the evaluation of the IYTCM programme effects on teacher classroom practice and climate. This will involve, a psychologist from NEPS visiting your class to trial the use of a standardised classroom observation tool, the completion of self-report questionnaires and optional participation in a focus group discussion. If you think you might be interested in participating please tick the box below. *

Ticking this box will allow the education centre to share your details above with NEPS who will only use it to select teachers for the research project and to send further details in relation to this research (participation in the research will be voluntary and is not required to avail of a place on the training)
