Our program in the 7th-12th grade develop new athletic skills through the sport of lacrosse, gain personal enrichment, and envision a lifetime of success.
Our applications are open for current 7th and 8th graders, 2027s and 2028s.
Each fun and engaging session at Crosse R.O.O.T.S aims to boost overall confidence, increase creativity, and enhance problem-solving skills by incorporating interpersonal and life skills—all while learning to play lacrosse! Crosse R.O.O.T.S is an application and cohort based program that will support our youth.
The program will promote character education, professional development and pathways to prosperity for Detroit’s youth. Grounded in R.O.O.T.S.–Respect for others, Officials, Teammates and Self—our goal is to build a culture of young people that reflects the values of lacrosse: respect, honor and integrity while growing the sport.

All applicants will be contacted by via email with the time & log-in instructions for interviews. This program will run for 7 weeks from January-March 2023 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8pm .
As a reminder, applicants must be current 7th and 8th graders and with predicted graduation in the spring of 2027 or 2028. Students from Detroit and the surrounding cities are welcome to apply. There is no cost to apply or registration costs if you are accepted in the program. There will be a waitlist.
