Entry Rules and Guidelines

What: The 2024 Blue River Watershed Festival poster

Awards: Winning artwork will Receive a cash award of $1000.00, and 10 posters

Guidelines: 1) Limited to paintings only, no photography. 2) Theme is to be of the Blue River watershed, which encompasses all of Summit County. May include the Upper or Lower Blue River, either Dillon or Green Mountain Reservoirs, or their tributaries. Painting should also incorporate our beautiful Summit County scenery. 3) Dimensions of final poster will be 18 x 24. We will be adding a mat border look to have room for the lettering. 4) There is no entry fee to participate!

Rules of original artworks: The original winning artwork will become the property of The Blue River Watershed Group, to be auctioned off to the highest bidder at the Festival. All other originals will be returned to the owners after judging. The artist agrees to the use of reproduction rights by the BRWG for advertising and social media promotions. 

Deadlines: Call for artists announced: April, 2024. Deadline for paintings to be submitted for judging: June 1st, 2024. The winning artwork will be selected by June 10th, 2024. All other artworks must be picked up by June 17th. The artists are responsible for picking up their own artwork. The BRWG will not be responsible for shipping or otherwise returning the non-winning paintings.
