For the first time Willie Lin from Naughty Swing, Taipei is bringing his solo jazz teaching to Hong Kong. Known for his distinctive solo jazz style and creative, fun performance choreographs, he is a frequent winner in international and regional competitions, as well as one of the leaders of the dance crew Naughty Swing from Taipei.

威力（Willie），Naughty Swing 搖擺舞團的共同創始人，I Charleston Taipei 影片的導演兼編舞者，擅長Solo Jazz, Lindy Hop & Choreography，致力於創作搖擺舞蹈的作品，熱衷與他人分享跳舞的喜悅。

Levels

All classes are designed for open level - we only require you to have a basic knowledge of lindy hop or solo jazz.

Instead of thinking about 'levels' we'd like to invite you to come with curiosity and proactively find what you connect with the most at this moment on your dance journey. Whether it be new or evolved vocabularies, perspectives to the music, approaches to the dance, understanding to your body, or simply having a good time... Everyone should get something out of the materials regardless of your dance experience.

Body exploration
For those who feel awkward or unsure to solo dancing, learn about how our bodies move and the movement combinations that we can create and incorporate to the music and dancing. With Willie's witty advice, expect self-discovery exercises and a routine that you can put the knowledge in use.

4:00pm - 5:30pm
Create your moves
Fall of the log, perks, camel walk, apple jacks… A lot of the classic authentic jazz steps are originally inspired in daily lives – take this concept and develop your own.

How to improvise?
Solo jazz is not about putting as many moves as possible together but an unique expression to the music. How do we decide what to do, when to do, and how much to do?

Performance choreography
If you've seen Willie's spectacular performances, you'll know he's a got a special talent to put the room on fire - be part of this and learn a fun routine in 90mins and maybe perform with Willie on Monday's social!
