Join us for "Through the Wardrobe," an evening celebrating classical Catholic education. In this captivating series of talks, Holy Spirit Preparatory School faculty will share the beauty, truth, and goodness of the classical literature of Western Civilization. We begin the evening with Mass and provide hors d'oeuvres, child care, and beautiful music performed by Holy Spirit Prep scholars. Come and invite your friends to this evening of fellowship and culture!
The third installment of the series this school year is called "Voyage to a True Education" and will focus on the key elements to becoming a successful and flourishing student, based on the transformation of Eustace Clarence Scrubb described by C. S. Lewis in Voyage of the Dawn Treader. In considering this tale of a boy who almost deserved his name at the beginning of the adventure and how he came to become a hero of the Chronicles of Narnia, Mr. Cole will draw out the profound lesson Lewis offers us about character and learning as we seek to help our children make the journey necessary to become a good student, a happy person, and one who has been truly educated.
